Seeking Intern: Video/Audio Editor
We are seeking a motivated and creative Video/Audio editor to join our team. You will be responsible for editing our podcast and developing other video/audio-related content. You will work directly alongside the Social Media Manager.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a self-starter, and has experience with video & audio content creation.
Responsibilities:
Content Editing: Take raw audio and video footage and use editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to create polished and engaging multimedia content, ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals and quality standards.
Podcast Management: Oversee the complete editing process of the organization's podcast, including audio enhancement, removing background noise, adding intros/outros, and ensuring a seamless and professional final product.
Creative Input: Bring a creative perspective to the editing process, suggesting innovative ideas to enhance the visual and auditory impact of videos and podcasts. This may involve incorporating graphics, effects, or other multimedia elements to elevate the content.
Quality Control: Maintain a high level of quality in all edited content, ensuring that it adheres to brand consistency, messaging guidelines, and technical specifications. Perform thorough reviews to catch any errors, inconsistencies, or issues before finalizing and publishing.
Proficiency in video and audio editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audacity, or similar tools
Familiarity with podcasts, able to research and understand current trends and industry norms
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic knowledge of graphic design software such as Canva or Figma is plus

Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. We are currently volunteer staff. However, depending on the success of Beacon’s podcast and flexibility in funding by end-of-year, a modest stipend may be available
Location:
This position is remote, with occasional in-person meetings or events that the entire team is invited to attend if they wish
